Raising Cane’s Ohio operates restaurants on Miamisburg-Centerville Road (State Route 725) in Washington Twp. and in south Beavercreek on Indian Ripple road across from The Greene Town Center. On Monday, it opened its newest Dayton-area location on Old Troy Pike in Huber Heights. Another locations is scheduled to open in Springfield in early 2021.

The new Beavercreek location is coming to 2755 Fairfield Commons Blvd., in space that until recently housed a Verizon store near the Mall at Fairfield Commons. Demolition of the phone store has begun, and plans call for a 3,100-square-foot Raising Cane’s to be built on the site.
“We’re looking at an early December opening, depending on weather,” Salts said.
“It’s a great opportunity for us,” Salts said of the location. “We see a lot of traffic flow here. The community has supported us. And it’s near Wright State University and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.”

Actually, this is not the first time Raising Cane’s Ohio has attempted to open a restaurant along the North Fairfield Road corridor.
Raising Cane’s Ohio franchisee submitted plans to the city of Beavercreek in November 2016 that called for a 3,576-square-foot restaurant to be built on a vacant tract adjacent to a Speedway store on Kemp Road just east of North Fairfield Road. Those preliminary plans were approved by Beavercreek City Council. In February 2017, a spokeswoman for the Raising Cane’s Dayton-area franchise owners suggested the Beavercreek location could open as early as May 2017.

That restaurant would have been the Dayton area’s first Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, but the project hit a snag, and ground was never broken for the project. RCO Limited went on to open its first Dayton-area location in late June 2017 on State Route 725 in Washington Twp.
RCO Limited opened the first Raising Cane’s outside of Louisiana when it launched its first Ohio location in Columbus in 2004. The chain prides itself on a limited menu and a simple concept, focused on chicken fingers, made “fresh, never frozen,” marinated for 24 hours, then hand-battered and cooked to order. Also featured on the menu are crinkle-cut fries, cole slaw, Texas Toast and sauces that are made in-house every day.
This new Huber Heights location is Raising Cane’s 37th restaurant in Ohio and its 523rd in the country.
