>> Former Boy Scout volunteer arrested in connection to long-term human trafficking investigation
When contacted today by WHIO, the South Stars SC released this statement:
“We are deeply saddened and disturbed by the charges and allegations against this individual. He has not been a member of the club for several years, and the club has taken immediate steps to ensure that he does not have any future affiliation. In all cases, we hold the safety of our players as our utmost priority and will continue to abide by the youth protection policies and standards set forth by the Ohio South Youth Soccer Association.”
Hubers was also previously a volunteer for the Boy Scouts. The Boy Scouts released a statement saying in part that Hubers has been prohibited from any future participation in any of its programs.
It’s unclear if Hubers’ involvement with the Boy Scouts or coaching is related to his arrest.
