Miamisburg paving program to set city record, include soccer complex

Miamisburg’s 2017 paving program will be the largest in city history, spending more than $1 million on projects including 36 streets and the Miamisburg Soccer Complex.

This year’s program surpasses the 2016 mark, when the city spent more than $750,000 paving more than 30 streets, Miamisburg records show. City staff is recommending Miamisburg City Council approve the awarding of the contract to John R. Jurgensen Co. of Springfield.

Jurgensen submitted a bid of $1.06 million while Barrett Paving Materials, Inc. of Franklin bid $1.24 million, city records show. City council is expected to vote on the issue Tuesday night.
