To celebrate and recognize the significant achievements made by an individual or organization at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, nominations are now being accepted for the 2020 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Awards.

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award recognizes an individual or organization who has made contributions to improve the quality of life on either the installation or within the local community through humanitarian efforts; social, cultural or neighborly improvements; or providing leadership, counseling and guidance to others.

Award period for the awards are between Oct. 1, 2018, and Sept. 30, 2019. Award eligibility is open to all Wright-Patterson AFB employees: military, civilian and contractors. To submit a nomination:

• Submit on an AF Form 1206, Nomination for Award, or on a one-page Word document.

• Include nominee or organization’s name, address, office symbol and phone number.

• Must be written in narrative form and stating only the achievements and contributions of the nominee.

• Signed by the nomination official.

The award winner will be determined by a selection board and will be presented at the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Awards Luncheon Jan. 17, 2020.
