The Montgomery County Jail will be honoring correctional officers for National Correctional Officers’ Week, May 5 to May 11, Sheriff Rob Streck announced today.

“They are brave, courageous and tenacious individuals who put their lives and health at risk every day to keep the public safe and provide a multitude of services to incarcerated individuals. Our highly devoted corrections personnel do more than ‘guard’ offenders. They counsel, teach and rebuild lives,” Streck said.

Each day of National Correctional Officer Week offers a special treat or event, and staff members are showing their appreciation by bringing them food and other goodies.
