The early morning outages were mostly concentrated in Greene County, where 3,340 customers were without electricity around 9:20 a.m., and most of those were part of a single outage near Beavercreek.
Outside of that outage, there were 286 in Montgomery County, 70 in Preble County, and single-digit numbers in Clinton, Miami, Logan, Shelby and Warren counties.

According to DP&L, the large outage near Beavercreek was caused by a tree falling on overhead power lines on Grange-Hall Road, which de-energized a main line feeder at 8:47 a.m. that provides power to more than 3,000 customers.
Officials said that outages across the Miami Valley are largely due to trees which were weakened after the severe weather on Memorial Day.

While DP&L anticipates more outages of the same kind if more strong storms move through the area, they’re working to remove problem trees and encourages property owners who have weakened trees that might affect power lines to take care of the hazard.
Around 2:40 p.m., there were 142 customers left without power.
As of 5:15 p.m., only 14 customers remain without power, which includes 1 in Auglaize, 4 in Greene, 1 in Logan, 5 in Montgomery and 3 in Preble.
