Participating law enforcement agencies will accept prescription or over-the-counter drugs and properly dispose of them.

In general, agencies will not be accepting needles or liquids. Collection events run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Many local police departments in the Miami Valley are participating in the event.
The Dayton Police Department and Vandalia Division of Police are partnering with the DEA to hold a Say Boo to Drugs community event at the Vandalia Recreation Center Sports Complex. This is a youth-focused event, meant to raise awareness for Take Back Day, which will include games, contests and candy for all.
"Now is the time to build good habits with young people for not only taking medication, but for disposing of it as well," said Wendie Jackson, DEA 360 Dayton outreach coordinator. "This is a fun way to approach a very serious topic and teach valuable lessons while playing games and collecting candy while their parents drop off their unused medications. This will be a win for everyone."

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office has said that it will also accept unused or unwanted e-cigarette and vaping devices.
The Beavercreek, Fairborn and Sugarcreek police departments along with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office will also be collecting tattered and damaged flags for respectful disposal on Flag Day in June.
“This is a safe way to dispose of expired, unused and unwanted medications,” said Sgt. Tom Selner, Springfield Police Division. “Medications should never be thrown in the trash or flushed down the toilet. After medications are collected during Drug Take-Back Day, they will be properly destroyed.”
