UD Nativity scene collection to be featured on ‘CBS Sunday Morning’

The University of Dayton’s collection of creches will be featured on “CBS Sunday Morning” during a segment about Nativity scenes.

The university’s collection of more than 3,600 sets will be aired during “CBS Sunday Morning” at 9 a.m.

CBS correspondent Nikki Battiste spoke with Marian Library Director Sarah Cahalan on how different cultures have their own Nativity representations and customs.

The Marian Library’s scenes represent more than a hundred countries.

Battiste also visited Michele Devitt, a longtime UD employee and Nativity collector, who helps organize the university’s annual At the Manger: World Nativity Traditions exhibit.
