NEW DETAILS: Ohio to fund $1.9 million Miamisburg road reconstruction, widening

A $1.9 million reconstruction project to part of South Gebhart Church Road in Miamisburg has been approved for state funding, according to the city.

The project that includes traffic between Belvo Road and Jessi Lane has been accepted as part of the Ohio Public Works Commission Issue 2 program, city records show.

Planned improvements include roadway reconstruction, widening, installation of sidewalk, curb and gutter, and storm drainage upgrades.

City records show engineering design for the work will take place this year with construction to follow in 2020.

That section of road is about a half mile. There will also be replacement of nearly 1,800 feet of eight-inch water main and associated services along this section, according to the city.
