The city of Kettering Planning Commission is expected to decide Monday whether to approve a request from Alter High School that would allow the school to begin construction on $4.3 million performing arts center.

The project includes an extension to the school at 940. E. David Rd.

Alter has reached 80 percent of its goal to fund the project and is still asking for donations. The new wing will be called the Christine Connor and Fred J. Miller Conservatory of the Arts.

If the planning commission approves the conditional use request, the project is scheduled to break ground as early as this spring.

Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at the government center, 3600 Shroyer Rd.
