Man seriously injured, thrown from SUV after crashing into pole in Harrison Twp.

A man suffered serious injuries after he was thrown from an SUV that hit a utility pole in Harrison Twp.

The man, who was driving a red Isuzu sport-utility vehicle, was headed south on North Main Street. When the SUV was in the area of Burgess Avenue around 2:25 p.m., it went off the right side of the road and hit the pole, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was ejected and was taken to Grandview Medical Center with serious injuries.

The crash closed North Main Street in both directions between Eastdale Drive and East Orchard Springs Drive.

The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
