Oakwood-raised actor Rob Lowe in new “Sex Tape”

Here a little piece of irony.

Rob Lowe appears in the new movie “Sex Tape.”

The 50-year-old Dayton area-raised actor plays Hank, "a buttoned-up CEO at the office with a penchant for decidedly darker things when left home alone," according to Variety.

The raunchy comedy about a couple’s sex tape will be release this Friday, July 18.

Lowe, of course, starred in a different sort of sex tape back in 1989.

Then 22, he was filmed having sex with a 16-year-old girl and a 22-year-old woman. The age of consent in Georgia was 14, according to People magazine.

Lowe said he assumed the 16 was an adult.

Sex Tape the movie stars Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel as a couple whose three-hour sex tape is mistakenly synced to the cloud.

Lowe attended Oakwood Junior High School before moving with his mother and brother to California at age 12.
