Beginning Monday, the ODH announced it would start a new process for sharing updates on people under investigation for COVID-19, posting numbers of any confirmed cases and people being monitored for the disease on the ODH website by 2 p.m. Monday-Friday.
As officials decide people under observation don’t have the disease, those updates will be added to the website on the schedule.
Any confirmed positive cases, though, will be updated with the local health department and public immediately.
“We want to be as transparent as possible when it comes to giving the latest information about COVID-19,” said ODH Director Amy Acton, MD, MPH.

As of Tuesday morning, the website said that Ohio has zero confirmed cases, zero people under investigation, seven investigations that turned out negative, and 212 people under Public Health supervision, who were asked to self-quarantine for two weeks to watch for signs of the disease.
