ID of woman killed after car crashes into Springfield utility pole released

A Huber Heights woman was identified as the victim of the Tuesday fatal crash.

Amanda D. Campbell, 35, was killed in the crash.

FIRST REPORT 10/15

Roads are open after a car hit a utility pole at the intersection of Mitchell Boulevard and North Belmont Avenue, killing a passenger early Tuesday morning.

Springfield police on scene told our crew that the person who died in the crash was a woman in her mid 30s. She was the front passenger in the car, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and a back-seat passenger were both injured in the crash, police said, and so they were taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

The conditions of the driver and back-seat passenger are unknown at this time.

No one involved in the crash is from Springfield, police said.

It is not clear which direction the car was coming from or where it was headed.
