Power restored to Greene and Miami counties, Montgomery County customers still without power.

UPDATE @ 4:15 p.m.:

The outage in Miami County has been repaired, according to the DP&L power outage map.

At this time there are still just over 350 people without power in Montgomery County.

UPDATE @ 4 p.m.:

Power has been restored to Greene County according to the DP&L power outage map.

However, some customers in Miami County remain in the dark.

UPDATE @ 3:37 p.m.:

Over 3,000 people are without power in the Miami Valley.

DP&L Operations Operator Kelly Millhouse reported that the outage in Greene County was caused by a tree falling across power lines near state Route 68. She said that crews were on their way and hoped to restore power soon.

The outage in Montgomery and Miami Counties was caused by an issue with a main line circuit. Millhouse said that crews were working on the problem.

Millhouse did not have an estimate as to when power would be restored.

INITIAL REPORT:

Two large power outages have been reported in the Miami Valley.

DP&L’s power outage map shows that 1,010 people do not have power in Greene County and 1,848 people do not have power in Miami County.

A smaller outage, 365 people, was also reported in Montgomery County.
