More than $4,400 donated to Miami County hunger program

Five organizations that provide food to residents in need in Miami County shared over $4,400 in donations today in an Ohio Farm Bureau hunger program.

The program, “Bushels for Hunger,” is in its 11th year.

Bushels are donated to the program when farmers take their grain to the Troy Grain Elevator during harvest.

The money for the sale of those donated crops go to area food pantries and soup kitchens.

Miami County Farm Bureau has raised over $30,000 since the inception of the program.
