OVI checkpoint today in Springboro

LEBANON – The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, the Springboro Police Dept. and the Clearcreek Twp. Police Dept., has announced there will be an OVI checkpoint from 11 p.m. today, July 9, to 3 a.m. Saturday, July 10. It will be on Ohio 741 between Pennyroyal and Lytle-Five Points roads in Springboro.

The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers, officials said in a release. The checkpoint is in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.
