Slight chance for rain tonight; overnight low will be around 68 degrees

Heavy rains during afternoon showers and storms have caused flooding and brought down trees in parts of the region, according to the National Weather Service.

In Xenia, there was a roof collapse of a business reported at 3:45 p.m. in the 30 block of East Main Street. Also, trees were down between McDowell Street and Home Avenue, reported at 3:27 p.m.

In Lebanon, 3.63 inches of rain fell in less than two hours, reported at 2 p.m. Also, a flash flood was reported at 1:10 p.m., when water entered the first floor apartment of units at the Redwoods in Lebanon.

In Eaton, 1.63 inch of rain fell in a one-hour total, reported at 3:55 p.m. and widespread flooding was reported at 3:05 p.m. with some cars under water.

In Oxford, 1.21 inch of rain fell in 35 minutes, reported at 4 p.m.

Rain chances will fall off into the evening. Tonight, temperatures will reach a low around 68 degrees.

Wednesday starts with a slight chance of showers through mid-afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny, and it will stay hot with a high near 89 degrees.  Wednesday night will be mostly clear and dry with a low around 66 degrees.

Thursday will be sunny and hot, with highs near 90 degrees, followed by a much cooler night with a low around 67 degrees.
