Spooky season is finally here. This year, on Oct. 31 from 1 to 3 p.m. the Wright-Patterson Veterinary Treatment Facility is hosting its first-ever Howl-O-Ween event.

Pets and their owners are invited to come to the facility and join in some Howl-O-Ween fun. The afternoon will feature a photo booth, guess the treats game and a costume contest. The pet with the best costume will win a basket of pet goodies provided by the USO.

“The goal of this event is to provide pet families a fun way to showcase their pet in a safe environment while also informing them of the veterinary services available to military families,” said Sgt. Brianna Jamieson, Veterinary Treatment Facility NCIOC.

In addition to the activities, attendees will be able to take a guided tour of the veterinary treatment facility at 1 p.m.

“Don’t let the kids have all the fun, your pets will enjoy the holiday, too! Bring them out and show off their costumes, meet other families and see what your Base Veterinary Services has to offer,” said Jamieson.

All pets are welcome to attend, but for safety reasons they must be leashed or crated.

The event is open to all pets and owners with base access. The Veterinary Treatment Facility is located in Area A at 3892 Communication Blvd., Bldg. 1425 next to Gate 15A. For questions about the event, call 937-257-6853.
