The plea for Justin Augustine, 38, of Troy, was filed by attorney Mark Wieczorek of Cincinnati. An arraignment had been scheduled for Wednesday morning.
Augustine is on paid administrative leave and an internal investigation is underway, Piqua Police Chief Bruce Jamison said Monday.
Augustine also is charged with operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control.
Police reports said he called his supervisor around 7:40 p.m. Saturday to a parking lot off East Ash Street where his cruiser was parked with heavy damage after hitting a flatbed semi with concrete barriers.
