Man in custody after standoff at house in Union

UPDATE @ 3:41 p.m.:

A man is in custody following a standoff in the 100 block of Warner Drive.

A woman called police and said a man took a bunch of prescription pills and had a gun in his hand earlier this morning.

“He was up all night drinking,” the woman told police. “We had a big fight because of it.”

Officers responded to the house around 11 a.m. and a SWAT team was dispatched to the house around 1 p.m.

The man surrendered to officers shortly before 3:45 p.m.

The man’s name was not immediately released.

UPDATE @ 1 p.m.: 

Several roads surrounding Warner Drive in Union are blocked as an active investigation continues.

SWAT crews are on scene and are trying to make contact with a man at a house in the 100 block of Warner Drive.

Additional details were not immediately available.

Police activity has been reported in the 100 block of Warner Drive this morning.

The activity was reported in the area around 11 a.m.

Initial scanner reports indicated police were blocking a portion of the road.
