Endangered missing Dayton man found safe

David Carruth was found safe, according to police.

INITIAL REPORT:

Dayton police are asking for the public’s help to find a missing man who was last seen early Thursday morning.

David Carruth, 57, of Dayton was dropped off at the BP gas station on Byers Road in Miamisburg at 5 a.m. Thursday after he left Sycamore Hospital, Dayton police said in a tweet.

Carruth is 5-feet 11-inches tall and weighs 400 pounds, according to police. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt and shorts and has a seated walker.

Police said Carruth also is in need of oxygen.
