UPDATE @4 p.m. 6/25/18

Clearcreek Twp. police are waiting on DNA results to determine if feces found inside a home under construction belong to an animal or person.

Clearcreek Twp. Police Chief Job Terrill said if the DNA results show the feces are human, police still obtain a profile and will have the option to do a cross-check of suspects at that time.

He said regardless of any DNA issues, the two people pictured on surveillance entering the home are “clearly looking at a trespass issue.” Those in the surveillance footage have been identified.

Clearcreek Twp. police estimate it will be at least a month until they receive information that may move the case involving people defecating on the floor in homes under construction forward, according to the township’s police chief.

“We have the evidence at the lab for a DNA profile,” said Clearcreek Twp. Police Chief John Terrill.  “If it comes back with a profile we will look to make comparisons against any suspects that may be identified.”

On May 13, shortly after 8 p.m. surveillance video caught two people illegally entering the home under construction in the Country Brook subdivision. One of the subjects in the video is believed to have defecated on the floor, the fourth such incident since May 6.

Several homes in the subdivision have sold for over $1 million.

Anyone who has information on the identities of those in the video is asked to contact Clearcreek Twp. police at (937) 748-1267.
