At least two parked vehicles in the 300 block of Harriet Street in Dayton were damaged Monday night when the driver apparently purposely hit them while speeding along the street, police said.

The vehicles belong to the driver’s relatives, a Dayton police sergeant said, and they aren’t giving police her name because she’s family, he said.

The driver, identified only as a female, also damaged the vehicle she was driving and ran away after banging up all three vehicles, police said. She was last seen heading west on Harriet toward Conley Street.

The incident was called in about 8:21 p.m. There were no reported injuries.

“It’s this girl driving erratic over here! She’s hitting everything!” a caller told a 9-1-1 operator at Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

“She’s in a gray car... here she comes again (sound of roaring engine can be heard in the background)!

“I’m in my neighbor’s yard, trying to get out of the way. She’s in a gray... Pontiac, I believe it is!

“Ooo my God, she’s hit someone else’s car! She’s hitting people’s cars! Please hurry up and get over here!”

The caller claimed the driver was hitting people as well. That turned out not to be true.
