Hill died in the shooting in the 800 block of North Euclid Avenue on Nov. 11.
“The victim and suspect were reportedly involved in an altercation at a club in Dayton and were separated and asked to leave,” said Sgt. Michael Godsey. “A short time later, the two cross paths again, on North Euclid, where the suspect and victim get into another altercation resulting in the suspect shooting and killing the victim.”
Police stopped short of naming the suspect they are looking for in the case and prosecutors said Wednesday afternoon that no charges have been approved in the shooting.
Hill’s brother Kinte Treadwell said the 53-year-old gave people a chance that may not have normally had the opportunity.
"He employed other people who really society didn't give a second chance to get a job,” Treadwell told News Center 7’s Sean Cudahy. “He did not want to see other people struggle because they couldn't get a second chance."
Hill’s family is upset no arrests have been made yet.
"That's very frustrating for us, it's very frustrating,” Treadwell said. "If this guy is out here killing people over petty reasons...I mean he's more than likely able to do it again."
