UPDATE: Standoff at Dayton home ends with man taken into custody

UPDATE @ 12:15 p.m.: 

A standoff at a Dayton house on Emmons Avenue has ended with one person in custody, according to investigators.

Police said the man surrendered around noon and was transported to an area hospital.

Police are involved in a standoff with a person who is believed to be armed and barricaded inside a Dayton house Wednesday morning.

Officers were first requested on reports of a person who might have overdosed at a house in the 1500 block of Emmons Avenue around 10:50 a.m.

A Dayton police supervisor on the scene confirmed officers believe a person inside the house has barricaded themselves inside and could have a weapon.
