Another man, Christopher Edwards, 38, of Warren County, has been arrested and is facing preliminary charges of felonious assault and kidnapping, Clearcreek Twp. police said in an updated media release Monday afternoon.
Police launched an investigation after the victim, a 22-year-old man from Cincinnati, was found at Dayton Children’s Hospital Saturday. He was initially considered a suspect because the ambulance was recovered at the hospital.
“Upon speaking with (the victim), he alleged that he had been held against his will at a residence at 331 East Lytle Five Points Road, across the street from the Fire Station,” police said in the media release.
“(The victim) went on to allege that he had been tortured at that residence for several days, and admitted that he had taken the medic unit to aid in his escape.”
Court documents allege the victim was kept in a dog cage and assaulted over several days.
Following a search warrant at the house on East Lytle Five Points Road, Edwards was arrested and charged with kidnapping and felonious assault and was booked in the Warren County Jail.
