Missing Pike County man located once before in Dayton area, found safe in Kentucky

UPDATE 6/13 @ 6:30 a.m:  A Pike County man who went missing in 2018 and was found in the Dayton-area, has been located in Kentucky, the Waverly Police Department confirmed Thursday morning.

Mr. Shepard is safe and being reunited with his family, said police.

William E. Shepherd, 91, of Waverly was last seen in Maysville, Kentucky Tuesday afternoon and was supposed to be heading back to his home, Waverly police said in an emailed statement.

Shepherd was last seen wearing blue bib overalls, a red flannel shirt, and a ball cap, police said. He is believed to be traveling in his silver 2014 Honda Pilot with Ohio license plate GDJ7271.

In September 2018, Shepherd went missing on his way home to Waverly and was located in the Dayton-area, police said.
