Missing Dayton woman with dementia found safe

Dayton police have announced that Nellie Williams has been found safe and returned home .

INITIAL REPORT:

Dayton police issued a statewide endangered missing adult alert for Nellie Williams, 76, of Dayton.

Nellie Williams is described as a black woman with gray hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds. Williams suffers from dementia.

Williams’ vehicle is a maroon 2009 Ford Taurus with license plate number AJ24FX.

On June 1 at around 11:30 p.m., Williams drove away from her residence and did not return. She was seen later that night at around 12:30 a.m. in Lewisburg, but has not been seen since.

Police ask anyone who sees Williams or her vehicle to call 911.
