Police seek information on Sidney rape suspect

Police are asking for the public’s help to find a man wanted for rape.

An arrest warrant was issued for Todd T. Freeman, 38, after he was indicted for rape by a Shelby County grand jury, according to Sidney police.

Officers began investigating Freeman for sexual conduct with a girl younger than 13 in September.

Freeman fled shortly after, leaving most of his possessions at his Main Avenue home, according to police.

Freeman is a black man who stands 6 feet, 4 inches and weighs approximately 180 pounds, police said.

He drives a silver 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Ohio license plate number HHK 2221.

Anyone with information on Freeman’s whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 937-492-TIPS (8477) or Sidney police at 937-498-2351.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $500 for information leading to Freeman’s arrest. Callers will remain anonymous.
