Power restored for most in Moraine after crash

UPDATE @ 5:35 p.m.: Traffic at Dryden Road and Northlawn Avenue will resume after the accident that knocked down a pole and brought down power lines.

The driver of the car was not hurt. Police said he will be cited for failure to control.

According to the Dayton Power & Light online outage map, just 13 customers are without electric service. An official with DP&L said the pole that was struck will have to be replaced.

A car struck a utility pole in Moraine and knocked power out for more than a thousand Dayton Power and Light customers.

The crash happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Dryden Road and Northlawn Avenue.

There were no reports of injuries, but power lines were knocked down.

DP&L outage map shows 1,005 customers were without power.
