Officials with the clinic at Public Health Dayton & Montgomery County held an open house for the upgraded third floor Tuesday where they will now offer several new services after a $4 million renovation.

Five years after a water pipe break forced several services to relocate in the Reibold Building, 117 S. Main St., the clinic has permanently moved to the third floor.

The renovation resulted in additional exam rooms, improved privacy and expanded waiting room capacity, according to agency officials.

Additional and improved services such as refugee medical screenings, laboratory testing, treatment of sexually transmitted diseases and routine vaccines for infants, children, teens and adults will now be available.

Numerous programs such as the tuberculosis clinic, refugee program, medical records and home care have also been moved to the third floor.

On Sept. 8, 2012, a pipe burst outside an exterior foundation wall of the building and water poured into the lower level at 1,000 gallons per minute, according to agency officials. Employees were forced to temporarily relocate to the fifth floor.
