Tipp City police said the water system was restarted after a power outage occurred at the city water plant. This, in return, caused the pumps to spout excessive water, and the tower to leak.
Police waited on scene for the tower to empty completely before tending to the issue.
Officials want residents to be advised that they will not be affected as a result of this leak.
The leak will only cause the grass area surrounding the tower to be flooded for now.
