A group of business and health officials advised DeWine on what best practices rules should be in effect and what customers should expect when current restrictions are lifted. Debbie Penzone chaired the group and said they want to work in the safest manner for customers and staff.
Customers might have to wait in their vehicle until the time of their appointment, Penzone explained.
Only one person per appointment is allowed in the shop unless a child or caregiver is required to accompany the individual with the appointment.
Customers must be spaced six feet apart.

The workers will wear masks, Penzone said, and they will ask that customers come with masks, too, “with our services being so personal, so close.”
Cleaning and disinfecting will be a priority for businesses, she said.
Dr. Amy Acton, director of the Ohio Department of Health, said customers will be able to help.

“We can also vote with our feet,” she said.
If clients don’t see businesses operating safely, “we can choose not to go those businesses.”
