Report: RTA driver injured after fight on bus in Butler Twp.

Police are investigating a fight on an RTA bus Saturday afternoon that injured the bus driver and sent her to the hospital for treatment, according to dispatch records.

In multiple 911 calls, witnesses describe an attack on the bus that injured the driver while the bus was on Miller Lane near York Commons Boulevard around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

In a separate 911 call, a person who said they worked for RTA requested police to respond to the same location for passengers who were being aggressive towards the driver.

Medics transported the driver to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment, according to dispatch records. She was no longer listed as a patient at the hospital Monday, according to a hospital representative.

Two people, described as a woman and a juvenile female, were later located on Miller Lane and were detained by police during the investigation, records show.

The woman was issued a summons to court for assault however police said they were awaiting video of the incident from RTA to determine who the primary aggressor was in the incident, dispatch records indicate.

Butler Twp. police said the incident is still under investigation and the report was not finished.

This news outlet has requested and is awaiting a comment from RTA officials on the incident.
