State trooper checked out as precaution after crash on U.S. 35 in Greene County

UPDATE @ 11:27 p.m.: The state trooper involved in the vehicle accident on U.S. 35 East was taken to Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia as a precaution, a sergeant at the patrol post in Xenia said.

If the trooper was injured, the injury or injuries were believed to be minor, the sergeant said.

There was no information available about the other driver or the accident, which the Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate.

INITIAL REPORT

A state patrol trooper reportedly has been involved in a vehicle accident on U.S. 35 East at Trebein Road, near Xenia in Greene County.

The accident, which we are hearing involves at least two vehicles, was dispatched just after 5:30 p.m.
