FIRST REPORT
Firefighters have responded to reports of a fire in an apartment building on East John Street in Springfield, according to emergency scanner traffic.
Crews responded to the 800 block of East John Street, near Selma Road, around 2:10 p.m. and reported smoke coming from the roof of the structure.
Emergency scanner traffic indicates police were at the building and requested the fire department respond.
One person has been transported from the scene by medics, but it was unknown if they were rescued by firefighters.
