Police pursue stolen box truck across several communities; passenger in custody

Multiple agencies in Montgomery County were reportedly in a pursuit involving a stolen box truck from Harrison Twp., according to initial reports.

The vehicle was reportedly stolen from the Speedway gas station on Needmore Road in Harrison Twp. around 7:30 a.m. Thursday. Deputies began a pursuit and were joined by Riverside police as the chase continued into parts of Dayton and Kettering, police scanner traffic indicates.

Units following the vehicle terminated the pursuit in the area of County Line Road and Shakertown Road in Kettering. The stolen truck reportedly continued into Beavercreek and nearby agencies were alerted of the vehicle, initial reports indicate.

A woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, reportedly bailed out of the box truck and was taken into custody, according to scanner traffic.
