Ribbon-cutting marks opening of Wright-Patt’s new Gate 26A

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base now has another avenue for employees and visitors to get on base now that the newly constructed gate 26A is open for traffic flow for commercial and passenger vehicles after an official ribbon cutting Nov. 13.

The new gate is located along state Route 235 in Area A and connects to Loop Road.

It will act as the commercial vehicle inspection area, replacing Gate 16A, which closed Nov. 18. Patrons can use this gate Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Only commercial vehicles may use it Saturdays, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
