Robocalls: How common are they?

Of those complaints 64.5% — or 479,382 — involved robocalls.

The top three DNC complaint topics included calls about reducing debt, medical and prescriptions and impostors, according to the FTC.

In all three categories, robocalls make up more than 70% of the complaints.

Alex Quilici CEO of YouMail, a robocall blocking app, said users in the Dayton area get somewhere between 13 and 15 robocalls a month.

While annoying, compared to people in the Washington D.C. area, who get around 60 a month, Quilici said Dayton isn’t doing too bad.

But a new law regulating robocalls could help protect people even more, according to its supporters.
