RTA names new deputy chief executive officer

The Greater Dayton RTA has announced a new deputy chief executive officer.

Bob Ruzinsky, former chief capital officer, will now be responsible for all RTA day-to-day department functions, including all actions for operations, finance and customer and business development.

Ruzinsky began his career with RTA in 1987 in the accounting group, holding various positions including senior accountant, accounting supervisor, human resources manager, controller and capital controller.

In 2002, he became chief financial officer at Butler County Regional Transit Authority; In 2009, he returned to Dayton’s finance team; and in 2013, he became the first chief capital officer before assuming his new role as deputy chief executive officer.

In the spring of 2019, Ruzinsky was named the Transit Professional of the Year in Ohio.
