Police reported a water main break in the area of Beaver Valley Road and Obetz Drive around 2 a.m. and initially requested salt trucks and road closed signs.
Officials at the scene said a Beavercreek salt truck that was requested to the area fell into a hole in the pavement when it drove over the break.
The salt truck was removed from the hole around 5:15 a.m., but the road remains closed as crews work to repair the main break.
