No credit card skimmers were found at BP gas pumps that had security seals tampered with or removed over the holiday weekend.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 3 p.m. Friday to the gas station at 2431 Needmore Road after a woman told them her husband’s phone received an alert on his phone saying there may be a skimmer present.

“All their seals are broken,” the woman said.

Deputies found eight of the 10 pumps had the “seal completely missing or lifted off with the words ‘void’ seen under the seal,” according to dispatch records.

The auditor’s office said the seals that were broken or removed were not the one’s used by the auditor’s office.

They inspected the pumps and no skimmers were found, a spokesperson said.

A BP employee told deputies the security seals that were tampered with are installed by the gas station’s corporate office.
