A roof reportedly was blown off one building downtown and several others had structural damage. Wind gusts of 50 mph to 60 mph were reported just after 6 p.m. There was no indication of a tornado, according to northern Ohio-area media reports.

About 9:30 p.m. FirstEnergy Ohio was reporting 1,710 outages in Ashtabula County, 3,861 in Cuyahoga, and 1,019 in Lake.
Earlier Thursday evening, viewer Todd Mackesy in Logan County recorded hail produced in Lakeview from stormy weather in the northern Miami Valley.
