Sherwin-Williams wholesale store, other businesses opening in West Chester

WEST CHESTER TWP. — The Sherwin-Williams Co. leads the pack of new businesses slated to open in West Chester in coming months.

Sherwin-Williams will open a more than 18,000-square-foot wholesale paint store at 9203 Sutton Place near Princeton-Glendale Road, according to West Chester Twp. and West Chester Development Council. A permit was first obtained at the end of July, according to Barb Wilson, a spokeswoman for the township. The store will provide services to industrial coating users and equipment manufacturers.

An official with Sherwin-Williams said the company doesn’t disclose details.

Other businesses openings, according to the township and development council, include:

• Biomed Specialty Pharmacy will open a more than 3,000-square-foot medical facility at 7731 Cox Lane in University Pointe campus in November. Biomed Specialty serves patients with conditions such as HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Hepatitis C, Psoriasis, Growth Hormone Deficiency, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis;

• Firehouse Subs will open an almost 2,000-square-foot restaurant at 7770 Dudley Drive in Tylersville Farm, potentially the beginning of next year;

• AutoZone Inc. will build a more than 6,000-square-foot retail store at 8241 Highland Pointe Drive. AutoZone sells automobile parts and accessories; and

• Smari Designs opened Oct. 21 an almost 3,000-square-foot retail store at 9444 Waterfront Drive in The Streets of West Chester, said Marianne Dunham, owner. Smari is a gift store, Dunham said.

“It remains a positive business environment for several reasons, including its strategic location between Cincinnati and Dayton, its access to major highways, and a professional approach toward business expansion and retention,” Wilson said in a statement. “Sherwin-Williams is one of many new business projects under way in our community that brings jobs and supports future sustainability.”
