This portion of Shiloh Springs Road has a poor rating, according to the engineering firm’s assessment.
The road has multiple pothole fills, high traffic volume and with the assessment, resurfacing makes sense, according to the city officials.
The total cost of the project is $339,946, that is supported by the street funds from levy dollars.
The city said it will maintain traffic flow through the area, with flaggers during the resurfacing project.
The contractor for the road project is John R. Jurgensen Company based in the Cincinnati and Franklin areas.
City council approved the bid at Monday’s council meeting but has not set a time frame of the project.
“Additional information regarding the project will be communicated with citizens and the media once a pre-construction meeting is completed,” said Stephanie Kellum, Deputy City Manager and Human Resources Manager.
