The public has one more day to be a part of local history in Darke County.

Until tomorrow, people can still sign their name on a 12-foot beam that will become a part of an 85,000 square-foot expansion to Wayne HealthCare in Greenville.

The final steal “I-beam” will be hoisted into place, signifying the completion of the addition’s steel framing.

The $60-million addition is expected to be completed by late 2020, and is set to be open to patients in January of 2021.

The hospital is the largest single healthcare investment in Wayne HealthCare’s history of approaching 100 years.
