An SUV crashed through a Xenia home Friday morning with three people inside.

"I was sleeping and then all of a sudden while I'm laying there I heard a big boom. And I come out into my living room and I got a sedan sitting in my kitchen; she was sitting in the car," homeowner Zachary Stewart told News Center 7's Molly Koweek.

The crash happened around 9:50 a.m. in the 1700 block of Wilshire Avenue.

Stewart, his sister and niece were all inside the home at the time of the crash.

Stewart’s sister said that the driver fishtailed on slippery roads, but that instead of pressing the brake pressed the gas pedal.

Police said the driver failed to make a right hand turn on the slick roadway and drove through the yard. The SUV drove through a brick exterior wall, stopping in Stewart’s kitchen with the driver trapped inside.

“They got her out of the car and she was going out our front door and she was crying, saying ‘sorry,’ all that,” Stewart said.

Stewart had been living in the home since July; completing many renovations.

Tarps are all that keep snow out of the house now.

No one was injured, but the three will be staying temporarily with family due to the damage.
