Mr. Bettinger’s sixth grade class were given the optional assignment to write to residents at Grande Lake Healthcare Center in St. Marys as a way to help them get through quarantine.

Students wrote about themselves and what they like to do, asked residents about their own interests and ended the letters with a joke or riddle.

Staff at Grande Lake Healthcare Center then shared the letters with residents.

Springboro plans to expand and continue the project and is working to reach out to nursing homes in the Springboro area.
