A 32-year-old Springfield man accused of stabbing a man inside his South Race Street house was arrested last night.

Ronnie Spitler, 32, faces felonious assault charges for the stabbing in the 100 block on Tuesday, according to court records.

Spitler and the victim had reportedly been arguing for several days. They lived together at the house.

The arguments led to the two fighting in the kitchen of the house, where Spitler was accused of grabbing a knife to stab the victim in the shoulder, court records read.

Spitler told a woman at the house that he didn’t mean to stab the victim and asked her not to call 911.

Spitler ran from the house after using water to try and rinse off the knife said to have been used in stabbing, court records read.

The victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment.
